How Can You Reach It？
The most direct and comfortable means to arrive in Sardinia is certainly the airplane.Anyhow， we advice you to rent a car at your arrival at the airport， in order to travel freely in the island.Sardinia is well connected both with the Italian and the European airports through national and international flights.The airports in Sardinia are： Cagliari (at Elmas)， Olbia， Alghero (at Fertilia) and Tortolì (near Arbatax).

The Po River
河畔风光
波河是意大利最大的河流。源出阿尔卑斯山西段的维佐峰，东流注入亚得里亚海，全长652千米，流域面积7.5万平方千米。河流沿途地势平坦，含沙量高，下游地区沉积旺盛，河道高出河床6米，河道极易淤塞。中游和下游多湖泊。支流有塔纳罗、斯克里维亚和特雷比亚等河。源自阿尔卑斯山的支流靠冰川、融雪和雨水补给；源自亚平宁山地的支流靠雨水补给。前者洪峰出现在春末夏初，后者洪峰出现在春秋两季。两者相互调节，使波河丰水期持续时间较长，枯水期仅出现在夏末秋初。都灵以下通航，唯下游航道多变，航运价值不高。
波河流域地势西高东低，西部上游是连绵起伏的高山，海拔1700米以上，中下游是着名的波河大平原，河道蜿蜒曲折，左岸有许多大大小小的牛扼湖，集中了意大利几乎所有的大湖泊，其中较大的湖泊有加尔达湖（Garda，湖水深346米，湖周长162千米），科莫湖（Como，湖水深410米，湖周长170千米）等。

The Po River (Padus in ancient times) flows 652 kilometers from west to east across northern Italy， from Mount Monviso (in the Cottian Alps) to the Adriatic Sea near Venice. It has a drainagedrainage area ［地理］流域 area of 71，000 square kilometers.
It is the longest Italian river and goes through many important Italian towns， including Turin and (indirectly) Milan. In Milan it enters the town as a net of channels called navigli， creating a very characteristic area. Near the end of its course， it creates a wide delta (with hundreds of small channels and five main ones called Po di Maestra， Po della Pila， Po delle Tolle， Po di Gnocca and Po di Goro)， at the southern part of which is Comacchio， an area famous for eels. The Po valley corresponds to historical Gallia Cisalpina， divided in Cispadane Gaul (South of the Po) and Transpadane Gaul (North of the Po).
The vast valley around the Po is called Pianura Padana and is so efficiently connected by the river that the whole valley became the main industrial area of the country. This river is subject to the authority of a special magistratemagistrate n.文职官员， 地方官员 (Magistrato delle Acque).
In 2005， water from the Po was found to contain “staggering” amounts of benzoylecgonine， which is excreted by cocaine users in urine. Based on these figures， cocainecocaine n.古柯碱，可卡因 consumption was estimated to be about 4 kg daily， or 27 doses per day per thousand young adults in areas that feed into the river a number nearly three times higher than previous estimates.
