“The boy is really a magician. I will ask the Master to give him a longevity ritual at once. You can prepare a clean carpet here.”
Upon hearing Zhaotoin’s request, Gongpa Razha thought it’s an easy thing to kill Choru as he is only three days old and his fortune has not yet been completed. My force is so strong that I can disintegrate a stone mountain and bring the demon of the south to the land. To defeat a baby is a piece of cake! Gongpa Razha was very confident, but still said:
“It’s not because I do not repect your order but I am not really adequate to the task.If I break my promise, I would go to hell.”
Zhaotoin heard this and hastily bowed: “Your force is unconquered between heaven and earth. Please help me to kill Choru. I will give you your due and I will be responsible for you for the rest of your life.”
“Since you are so sincere, I will go at once and Choru will face certain death tonight.”
Zhaotoin was very delighted and returned to Gormo’s place. He spoke to Gormo:
“I was ready to visit Master Gongga today, but I met old Gongpa Razha on my way. I asked him to practise divination. He said that you would suffer from a disaster in three days. He would like to protect your family because of the great kindness of the Han wife and Chatsa.
Seeing Zhaotoin leaving in a hurry Choru said to his mother:
“It’s time for me to conquer the old monster, Gongpa Razha. Please, please quickly bring me four stones.”
Gormo placed the four stones in the right order. Then he shut his eyes and sat down and silently called the deities. Gormo threw out the four stones when Gongpa Razha came into the accounting room. Gongpa Razha saw 900 people wearing white helmets, 900 wearing blue ones, 900 wearing yellow ones and 900 heaven bound Buddhist Guardians in front of him. Gongpa Razha became frightened and ran away.
Choru left his incarnation beside Gormo and his real body went to chase Gonpa Razha. Choru followed Gongpa Razha to his cave where he practised. There Choru changed himself into the Great Master. The old monster threw all he had to offer with his full strength. It did not hurt Choru at all but instead it blasted himself into pieces.
After Choru had killed Gongpa Razha he turned himself into Gongpa Razha and went to see Zhaotoin. He told Zhaotoin that Choru was dead and Zhaotoin had to give him his payment. He said he wanted nothing but Zhaotoin’s walking stick.
As it happened Zhaotoin had a walking stick which was called Changgar Pegar. It was a treasure of the ghosts. To read Prayers with walking sticks, one must let one’s mind run like a streak of lightning and let one’s thinking control one’s act. It is said that no one can touch or move the walking sticks as long as they are wrapped on the pillar in the color arrows of dedication.
Having heard that Choru was dead, Zhaotoin was very happy. But he couldn’t tear himself away from the walking stick. However “Gongpa Razha” threatened to tell the Master and Chatsa his plot. Zhaotoin had no choice but to give his walking stick to “Gongpa Razha” which was Choru’s incarnation.
The next day, the more Zhaotoin thought the more he was suspicious. He was not sure if Choru was really dead. After careful consideration he decided to go to Gongpa Razha’cave and see what had happened.
As he approached the cave, Zhaotoin saw that a huge rock had plugged up the cave. There were two holes in the rock. He looked through the two holes and saw that the cave was in a mess and Gongpa Razha was already dead. His walking stick was just beside the body.
On seeing this, Zhaotoin wanted to get back his walking stick. So he transformed himself into a little mouse and ran into the cave. The walking stick suddenly disappeared. He thought that this was because he had changed into a mouse so he then returned his head back to its normal size. Even so, he still could not find the stick. He became nervous and immediately murmured a spell trying to resume his whole body. However, this did not work either, so he became even more nervous. Zhaotoin didn’t know that Choru was practicing his own magic.
When Choru came to the door of the cave and found Zhaotoin he pretended not to know what had happened:
“The monster who did this to you must be terrible.I will kill it.”
Zhaotoin trembled with fear and begged:
“Respected Choru, you are the son of omnipotent and omniscient deities, powerful and kind. I am your uncle Zhaotoin. Please don’t kill me. I will do anything you ask of me.”
“My Uncle? As you have only evil purposes towards the Ling Tribe you can’t resume your human figure.You think that your troops of Darong are strong. However, this strengh can’t defeat enemies but can only cause internal fighting. This will further threaten the security of the Ling region. If you promise not to cause evil to the Ling region and not to trigger internal dispute I will help you.”
Zhaotoin promised at once. Choru then changed him back into his human figure, and returned to his mother’s side inside his real body.
